I'm currently on level 14 resistance on the Elliptical. Woohoo! I'm going strong and sweating my butt off!
My brother who challenged me to this in the first place, told me to slow down. So what I'm going to do is do level 14 for 2 weeks straight, which right now on my second week with. Then I will do level 15 for 2weeks. Then I will jump to 16 for 1week, and work my way up from there. My ultimate goal is level 17, the same resistance level I was at when I was skinny.
It's mind over matter. Whenever something tells me you can't do this, while I 'm already working out on the Elliptical. I say my head to this imaginary enemy, "oh really, I'm doing this level and still going strong." After that, the imaginary enemy silences, and I keep exercising. Small victories for me. Woo hoo!
